Our Mission:  The Shawnee Marathon 1/2 & Full Distances are focused on the participant first, taking into consideration the many positive attributes of the current long distance racing scene and adding what we believe encompasses many of the missing elements that keep events from being customer and family friendly. Our goal is to become a destination location that is based on community support. We’ve listened to many athletes worldwide and have been given the feedback we feel is necessary to satisfy the many wants and needs of the long distance athlete.  Join us as world class racing comes to Southern Illinois!

The Shawnee Marathon is proud to support the Harrisburg community. Funds generated from the Shawnee Marathon will be used to build a new state of the art indoor pool for the people of Harrisburg and its surrounding areas.  Thank YOU for registering and supporting our fundraising efforts!
